The Czech Technical University acquires reactor simulator for Dukovany
The Czech Technical University in Prague has acquired a simulator of the APR1000 nuclear reactor, which will be installed by the South Korean KHNP company at the Dukovany nuclear power plant. The simulator will be used by the university’s Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering to study the reactor's operation.
According to the university, interest in nuclear-related fields is on the rise, with enrolment in these programs increasing by nearly 40 percent compared to last year.
The acquisition of the simulator is the result of long-term collaboration with South Korean partners, which includes an annual exchange of students and joint research projects.
