All bus stops in Prague and Central Bohemia now “request stops”

As of this weekend, all bus stops within the Prague municipality and Central Bohemia have become so-called “request stops”.  Passengers wishing to get off a bus now have to press the red STOP button ahead of the respective bus stop. If they are waiting at a bus stop they do not need to wave or otherwise signal, the driver will stop automatically. According to the Prague Integrated Transport Company the aim of the measure is to shorten intervals, reduce noise and save fuel.
