Prague Spring to close with classical and modern Czech music

The 79th Prague Spring international classical music festival comes to a close on Monday evening with a performance at the Smetana Hall of Prague’s Municipal House. The Czech Philharmonic, led by conductor David Robertson, will play music by Czech composers Antonín Dvořák, Leoš Janáček and Josef Suk, featuring Czech violinist Josef Špaček.

The programme will also present the European premiere of Superorganisms, a piece by contemporary Czech composer Miroslav Srnka.

Czechia’s largest classical music festival got underway on May 12, offering dozens of concerts.
