PM Fiala to discuss Middle East and Ukraine during visit to US
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala wants to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East and Iran’s large-scale air attack on Israel with US officials during his visit to the United States, he told reporters before his departure on Sunday.
He also wants to talk about further military support for Ukraine, without which, he said it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to stop the Russian aggression.
The Czech Prime Minister is due to hold talks with President Joe Biden at the White House on Monday. He also scheduled to meet with the head of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, and other members of Congress.
Also on the itinerary are a meeting with Czechs living in the US, a visit to the memorials of the late Czech presidents Václav Havel and Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, and a speech at the Hudson Institute.
