2023 warmest year in Prague since records began

2023 was the joint warmest year at Prague’s Clementinum weather station since records began in 1775, according to data released on Tuesday. The average temperature for the whole of last year was 12.8 degrees Celsius, according to the Czech Hydro-Meteorological Institute. The same value was recorded for the year 2018.

The Clementium, located near Charles Bridge, is the country’s oldest weather station and has been in constant operation for 249 years.
