Three companies submit final bids for new nuclear unit at Dukovany

All three bidders, the USA's Westinghouse, South Korea's KHNP and France's EDF, have submitted their final bids for the construction of a new unit at the Dukovany nuclear power plant, the Czech News Agency reported on Tuesday. The bidders also submitted non-binding bids for another three reactors. Czech energy company ČEZ now has to evaluate the bids and submit an evaluation report to the government for approval.

According to the current plan, contracts with the selected bidders are expected to be signed next year. The new unit should be completed by 2036.
