Czech officials offer condolences to Morocco in wake of deadly earthquake
Czech President Petr Pavel extended his condolences to the Moroccan King Muhammad VI in the wake of the deadly earthquake in the North African country that killed over 2,000 people and left over 2,000 others injured. The Czech head of state also praised the dedication and bravery of the local rescuers.
A number of other Czech political leaders, including Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský and the head of the opposition ANO movement Andrej Babiš have expressed their sympathy with the families of the victims on the social network X. Mr. Fiala wrote that Czechia was ready to send necessary aid to Morocco.
