Top firms to make marriage equality appeal to Czech PM

A number of major companies in Czechia are set to call on Prime Minister Petr Fiala to push for marriage equality legislation, Seznam Zprávy reported. Vodafone, Microsoft, Danone, Ikea and the bank ČSOB are among dozens of firms who plan to make the appeal to Mr. Fiala next week, the news site said.

Vodafone boss Petr Dvořák said supporting LGBTQ+ people was a human rights issue and that unequal legislation had an economic impact.

Mr. Fiala has in the past said that marriage should only be between a man and a woman and that nobody could convince him people of the same gender could create a marriage or family equal to a "natural" one.
