Survey: Czechia has ninth highest inflation in Europe despite decline
Despite its decline, inflation in Czechia was still the ninth highest among the 41 European countries surveyed in July, suggests an analysis by the investment platform Portu.
According to the data published by the Czech Statistics Office, annual consumer price growth in Czechia slowed to 8.8 percent in July from 9.7 percent in June.
Hungary continues to have the highest inflation - 17.6 percent, followed by Serbia, Ukraine and Slovakia. Germany and Austria have the lowest inflation among Czechia’s neighbouring countries, while Cyprus and Liechtenstein have the lowest inflation in Europe.
