Czech foreign trade surplus up by CZK 33.4 bn year-on-year in June

Czechia’s foreign trade balance ended in June with a surplus of CZK 18.2 billion, up by CZK 33.4 billion year-on-year, according to data released by the Czech Statistics Office. The positive result stems mainly from a lower deficit on trade in oil and natural gas and an increase in exports of motor vehicles.

Exports of goods in June increased by one percentage point year-on-year to CZK 398.3 billion, while imports fell by 7.2 percent to CZK 380.1 billion.

After a seasonal adjustment, exports increased by 0.7 percent month-on-month and imports by 0.4 percent.
