President urges bikers to wear helmets in wake of own transgression
President Petr Pavel attended an event in support of injured bikers in Kladruby in the Benesov region on Saturday, at which he urged bikers to use helmets even when setting out on short trips. The president, who is an enthusiastic biker, made the appeal shortly after himself coming under fire for failing to wear a helmet when he rode him motorbike to a nearby petrol station. The president later apologized on Twitter for having broken the rules, saying that he generally adhered to all safety regulations.
