Theft and pickpocketing on rise in Czechia

The number of thefts, especially in shops, where thieves are now more often targeting commonplace items such as food, alcohol, cosmetics and cigarettes, is increasing. The police have already registered a thousand more cases compared to last year. Pickpocketing is also on the rise with increasing numbers of tourists once again following the pandemic.
