Slovak prime minister holds talks with Czech leaders in Prague
Prime Minister Petr Fiala met with his Slovak counterpart Ľudovít Ódor in Prague on Tuesday to discuss energy and defence cooperation and the situation surrounding the war in Ukraine, among other topics. Mr Fiala said at a press conference afterwards that he considers both countries' decision to purchase CV90 infantry fighting vehicles from Sweden an advantage, as Czechia and Slovakia can try to use a joint discount. Their first joint meeting with Sweden is taking place next week.
President Petr Pavel received the Slovak prime minister at Prague Castle after the latter's meeting with Mr Fiala. The two spoke mainly about the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius. President Pavel wrote on Twitter afterwards that Czech-Slovak relations are strong and their mutual cooperation unshakable despite changes in personnel.
