New Czech hockey Hall of Fame to open next year
The Czech hockey Hall of Fame, which was unexpectedly closed at the end of May, will reopen in Prague’s Palladium shopping centre next year, president of the hockey federation Alois Hadamczik said in an interview for CNN Prima News on Wednesday.
The stone Hall of Fame, which was part of the Galerie Harfa shopping mall, located in the immediate vicinity of Prague's O2 arena, closed abruptly on May 29 after eight years due to financial issues.
The new Hall of Fame is scheduled to open before next year's World Championships, due to take place in May. According to Mr. Hadamczik, the Czech Hockey Federation will save CZK 150 million by the move.
