Czech Army celebrates 30 years of existence with public show

The Czech Army is celebrating 30 years of existence on Wednesday with an all-day programme of events open to the public by the river Vltava in Prague. The programme includes a parachute jump from a helicopter into the Vltava, demonstrations of service dog training, and an L-159 fighter jet flight simulator, as well as close combat demonstrations and the presentation of military technology and equipment, including ships. Visitors can also test their physical fitness and try the basics of first aid.

The celebrations will be taking place on two opposing sides of the river, Rašínovo nábřeží and Hořejší nábřeží. A ferry will be available to shuttle people between the two embankments.
