Pirates vote to say justice minister undermines trust in judiciary

The Pirate Party have voted to approve a statement saying the minister of justice, Pavel Blažek, is a threat to trust in the judiciary and the rule of law, as well as the fulfilment of the government’s policy programme. The Pirates are in government alongside Mr. Blažek’s Civic Democrats and three other parties.

The move comes in response to the minister’s potential conflict of interest in relation to the investigation of a Brno public housing affair and controversial actions of his, the Pirates said.
