Czechia has made a donation of equipment worth CZK 6.5 million to a maternity hospital in Zambia. The Czech minister of foreign affairs, Jan Lipavský, visited the Mother and Child Hospital in Lusaka as part of visit that has also taken in Angola.

In addition to the special equipment for two hospital rooms, Czechia will also provide the facility with a modern ambulance during the summer.

Zambia is one of two countries on the African continent where Czech development aid is targeted.

Mr. Lipavský’s five-day trip is due to end on Friday.
