Ledecká takes award for Czech sporting achievement of 2022

Ester Ledecká has won the Jiří Stanislav Guth-Jarkovský Prize for Czech sporting achievement of the year for the second time. She earned the honour for 2022 for her first place finish in snowboarding’s parallel giant slalom at the Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Wednesday’s award followed another for 2018, when Ledecká won the same event at the Winter Olympics and, sensationally, the alpine skiing Super-G.
