Two top Czech army officers to join NATO command structures

Two leading representatives of the Czech army will join NATO command structures, the news site Aktualne.cz reported, citing information from the Czech army and the defence ministry.

Ivo Střecha, the current first deputy chief of staff of the Czech Army, is to become Czechia’s representative on the NATO Military Committee, the alliance's highest military body.

Josef Kopecký, the current head of the army's operations command, will represent the country at NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe or SHAPE. According to Aktualne.cz, he is due to take up the post at the beginning of August.
