Majority of Czechs concerned about possible abuse of AI

The majority of Czechs would support a six-month suspension of generative AI development, according to the outcome of a survey conducted by the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University and the Ipsos agency. The survey showed that while Czechs are optimistic about the possibilities opening up, there is also concern regarding possible abuse of technological progress in the field of AI. Forty-eight percent of respondents said they were concerned about how the development of AI would progress. A test of AI in the media showed that roughly half of respondents were able to correctly identify an AI-generated article.
