President Pavel visits army headquarters

President Petr Pavel visited the General Staff of the Czech Army on Wednesday, inspecting the headquarters of the army leadership, from which he commanded the army ten years ago. According to Vlastimila Cyprisova from the press department of the General Staff, the president’s meeting with the military top brass focused on a revision of the army’s plans and priorities in connection with the war in Ukraine, help to that country, modernisation projects and new military capabilities. On Wednesday afternoon, President Pavel will attend a meeting of the State Security Council.
