Czech medic injured in Ukraine now at Prague hospital
A Czech medic who was seriously injured in Ukraine has arrived at Prague’s Central Military Hospital. The man was hit by shrapnel in Donbas in March while serving as a volunteer providing medical care to Ukrainian soldiers on the front line. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the man’s transfer to Czechia had been handled by the country’s embassy in Kyiv.
The medic was serving with the Czech medical aid organisation Project Phoenix. It said he had received good care in Kyiv and Lviv and thanked those who had helped him.
