Czech transport minister seeking to modify strict Euro 7 emission standards
Czech Transport Minister Martin Kupka is pushing for the European Commission to modify and postpone some of the strict Euro 7 emission standards on reducing air pollution from new motor vehicles sold in the EU to meet Europe’s Green Deal. The Czech transport minister is meeting in Strasbourg with representatives of other EU member states who are critical of the strict rules for fear that they will severely undermine Europe’s car industry. Minister Kupka is due to debate the matter with his counterparts from Germany, Italy, Poland, France, Spain and Portugal.
