Lipavský meets with Tibetans in exile during India visit

Czechia’s Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, who is currently on an official visit to India, has met with representatives of the Tibetans in exile. He stated on his Twitter account after the meeting that “the spirit of Václav Havel’s friendship with His Holiness Dalai Lama lives on”. He also said that China is currently pursuing a similar policy towards Tibet as it is in Xinjiang, where the Uyghurs are facing severe repression from the state.

The Czech head of diplomacy also made an address at the India – Europe Business and Sustainability Conclave and stated that he was looking forward to more cooperation with India.
