Minister, army chief honour soldiers who headed NATO mission in Slovakia

The minister of defence, Jana Černochová, and the head of the Czech Army, Karel Řehka, have honoured Czech soldiers who served in and led an international battle group in Slovakia within the NATO alliance.

Around 450 soldiers returned in December from Slovakia after a six-month deployment but took part in a ceremony at Prague’s Vítkov National Memorial on Friday.

Slovenia, Germany, the US and Slovakia also sent troops to a base in Slovakia's Lešt, in response to Russia’s aggression in neighbouring Ukraine.
