Czech, Slovak ministers say maintaining unity in support of Ukraine key

The Czech and Slovak foreign ministers say the main task in helping Ukraine in the face of Russia’s invasion is now maintaining the unity of the West and persevering with the present level of support. Jan Lipavský and Rastislav Káčer were speaking after a meeting in the Slovak city of Pezinok on Tuesday.

Mr. Lipavský said it was necessary to prepare for a protracted conflict as there were no signs that Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, was willing to let go of his imperial and colonial dreams of expanding Russian territory.
