Sáblíková’s coach facing allegations of overcharging Czech Speed Skating Association
An audit conducted by the National Sports Agency that focused on the economic management of the Czech Speed Skating Association (ČSR) has confirmed irregularities in the billing of foreign trips by coach Petr Novák, news site Seznam Zprávy reports. Mr Novák, who is best known as the coach of Olympic champion Martina Sáblíková, is under suspicion of inflating the costs of foreign training sessions for athletes under his supervision from 2019 to 2020.
Mr Novák has refused to comment on the situation, although he has admitted in the past that he may not always have strictly followed administrative guidelines.
