Government commissioner for Ukraine’s reconstruction to be appointed on Wednesday
The cabinet is likely to appoint a special government commissioner for Ukraine’s reconstruction on Wednesday, the Czech News Agency has reported.
According to earlier reports, the newly created post should be filled by Tomáš Kopečný, who quit at the end of the year as Deputy Defence Minister for Industrial Cooperation at the Ministry of Defence and who has been one of the chief movers in organising military assistance to Ukraine.
Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, who will present the material to the cabinet, has repeatedly refused to disclose who will fill the position. He said the post would require a good coordinator who would be able to both help Ukraine and maximise opportunities for Czech companies.
