Jourová: Czech presidency was a great success

The Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union has been a great success, according to Vice-President of the European Commission Věra Jourová.

Speaking to the journalists in Prague on Tuesday, Mrs. Jourová said that Czech politicians and diplomats had demonstrated, among other things, their ability to broker a compromise between EU member states.

She also said the Czech presidency was a great investment for the future, noting that Czechia should maintain a strong voice within the alliance even after the presidency ends.
