German police arrested 70 Czechs last year for meth trafficking
German police arrested 70 Czech citizens for trafficking and smuggling methamphetamine last year, according to its annual report on drug crime, released on Friday.
The number of recorded crimes related to the trafficking and smuggling of methamphetamine in Germany rose by 10 percent year-on-year.
German police officers seized some 363 kilograms of methamphetamine, known as pervitin in Czechia, which is 25 percent more than last year.
According to the report, shipments of the drug were often discovered during transit through Germany en route from countries where the narcotics were produced, such as Czechia.
