Latest poll suggests support for Pavel and Babiš extremely close among voters
The first round of presidential elections would have been extremely tight had it taken place in October, according to a poll conducted by the Median agency.
Ex-army general Petr Pavel would have narrowly won with a 22.5 percent share of the vote, with former prime minister Andrej Babiš just behind him with 22 percent. However, support for both candidates decreased in comparison with Median's September poll.
Meanwhile, the voter share of the third-place candidate, economist Danuše Nerudová, increased from 10 percent in September to 15 percent in October.
