Special envoys for Sahel to meet in Prague

A meeting of the Special Envoys for the Sahel will be held in Prague on Monday and Tuesday under the Czech Presidency of the EU Council.

According to the press release, the meeting aims to assess the situation in Africa’s Sahel region, coordinate the positions of EU Member States and consult with other like-minded partners from the US, Norway and Canada as well as international organisations.

The meeting, which will take place in the Czernin Palace, the seat of Czechia’s Foreign Ministry, will be chaired by EU Special Representative for the Sahel, Emanuela Del Re.
