Labour minister Jurečka also takes environment portfolio on temporary basis

The Czech minister of labour and social affairs, Marian Jurečka of the Christian Democrats, has temporarily also taken over as minister of the environment. This comes after his party colleague, Anna Hubáčková, gave up the portfolio for health reasons.

The Christian Democrats have lined up Brno deputy mayor Petr Hladík to replace her. However, he is not taking over for now due to an ongoing corruption investigation centred on the allocation of municipal housing in Brno.
