Domestic violence among most common causes of divorce

Domestic violence ranks among the five most common causes of divorce in Czechia, according to a survey published by the Research Institute of Labour and Social Affairs. According to the survey close to one in six marriages or partnerships break up because of physical or psychological abuse. The main reasons for divorce are cheating in 54 per of cases, communication problems in 38 percent of cases, different values and goals in 23 percent of cases, addictions in 18 percent of cases and domestic violence 17 percent of cases.
