Poll: ANO would win parliamentary elections with 29.5 percent of vote

The opposition ANO party would win elections to the lower house of parliament with 29.5 percent voter support, suggests a freshly released poll by the Kantar Agency for Czech Television.

According to the survey, the ruling Civic Democrats would come second with 18 percent, followed by Freedom and Direct Democracy with the backing of 11.5 percent of voters.

The Pirate Party and the Mayors and Independents would also make it to the lower house, if parliamentary elections were held in July, with 9 percent and 7.5 percent, respectively.

By contrast, TOP 09 and the Social Democrats would not reach the five-percent threshold needed to win seats in the Chamber of Deputies, suggests the poll.
