Nearly 160 migrants detained on border with Slovakia over past two days

Czech police have detained more than 157 migrants and four smugglers over the past 24 hours, th epolice announced on Twitter on Saturday.

Czechia reinstated controls at at 27 former border crossings with Slovakia on September 28 in response to an increase in illegal migration.,

Since the reintroduction of the border checks, police officers have detected about 1,700 migrants and seized nearly 50 smugglers.
