Covid-19: highest number of hospitalised since April

Some 3,440 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Czechia on  Tuesday, which is around 1,200 fewer than on the same day last week and the first week-on-week drop since late August.

However, the number of Covid-19 patients is the highest since early April, according to Health Ministry data. On Tuesday, there were around 1,800 people hospitalised with coronavirus, with 53 of them in serious condition.

Some hospitals in Czechia have issued a ban on visits or made respirators mandatory again.
