Czechia slams Russia for abuse of veto power on UN Security Council

The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the country strongly condemned what it called another abuse of veto power by Russia at the United Nations Security Council in New York. In a tweet on Saturday the minister said the resolution would now move to the UN General Assembly, where all countries could let Moscow know “how they feel about liars and bullies”.

On Friday Russia vetoed a resolution condemning the annexation of four regions in Ukraine by the Moscow government as a breach of international law.
