Czech Foreign Minister hopes to find political agreement on visa liberalisation for Kosovo
The Czech minister of foreign affairs, Jan Lipavský, hopes that the EU will reach political agreement on abolishing visas for Kosovo citizens during the Czech Presidency of the EU Council.
Mr. Lipavský made the statement at a press conference in Pristina on Thursday following a meeting with Kosovo’s First Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi.
The Czech Foreign Minister also said that advancing the EU integration process of the Western Balkan states was one of the priorities of the Czech Presidency.
The Czech presidency of the EU is due to convene a summit to discuss Kosovo and the visa liberalisation in October.
