Foreign ministry warns NHL it will not grant Russian players visas
The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent a letter to the NHL management warning that Russian hockey players from the San Jose and Nashville teams will not be granted visas for the upcoming games in Prague. Deputy Foreign Minister Martin Smolek said in a statement that they were not welcome in Czechia because of Russia’s war with Ukraine. The teams, which are due to play at Prague’s O2 Arena on October 7 - 8, each have at least one Russian player.
