Czech singer and nine-time winner of the Golden Nightingale award Hana Zagorová has died at the age of 75. Ms. Zagorová had been suffering from health problems for a long time, made worse after she contracted coronavirus in September 2020. Due to her condition, all her work commmitments since last August had been cancelled.
During a long and illustrious career, Hana Zagorová performed almost 900 different songs, sang in several ensembles, and performed in the Apollo and Semafor theaters. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Anděl music awards in 2015 and released her last studio solo album, I'm not afraid, in 2018.
