Hundreds gather in Prague to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day

Hundreds of people met in the centre of Prague on Wednesday evening to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day and commemorate the six month anniversary of the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Czech News Agency reports.

Demonstrators gathered on Wenceslas Square and Old Town Square, where an orthodox mass took place around the Marian Column. Some of those present signed a petition calling on the Czech Parliament to declare Russia a terrorist state.
