Russia accuses Czech minister of backing terror over Dugina comment

The Russian ambassador to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, has accused the Czech defence minister, Jana Černochová, of supporting terrorism. He made the comment at the UN Security Council on Tuesday.

The assertion followed comments Ms. Černochová made following the death of Darya Dugina, the daughter of a Russian ideologue, when she said she did not feel sorry for either of them but for the thousands murdered as a result of their propaganda.

The Czech prime minister, Petr Fiala, said Mr. Nebenzya’s accusation against Ms. Černochová was the height of cynicism.

For her part the minister said it was confirmation of the effectiveness of Czech support for Ukraine.
