Viktoria Plzeň qualify for Champions League for fourth time

Viktoria Plzeň have reached the group stage of football’s Champions League for the fourth time in the club’s history. The Czech title-holders qualified for the competition with a 2:1 win over the Azerbaijani side Qarabag in West Bohemia on Tuesday night; this followed a 0:0 draw in Baku in the first leg.

Participation in the Champions League guarantees Viktoria Plzeň hundreds of millions of crowns.

The draw for the group stage takes place on Thursday evening.
