Over 100,000 Ukrainians on special visas working in Czechia

Some 107,000 people from Ukraine who are in Czechia on protective visas are now working in the country. Speaking on Tuesday, the Czech minister of industry and trade, Marian Jurečka, described this level of employment among refugees from Ukraine as a “great success”.

The Czech Office of Labour said that a total of nearly 250,000 Ukrainian workers were registered in the country. That is roughly 40,000 higher than the figure for the end of February.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine the Czech authorities have granted visas to over 417,000 people.
