Entry restrictions into Bohemian Switzerland national park to be extended until end of August
Entry restriction into the Bohemian Switzerland national park will be extended until August 31, with the park being completely closed during night time, Environment Minister Anna Hubáčková announced on Thursday. Evacuated residents of the Hřensko district will be able to return to their homes gradually starting from Saturday.
The statement comes following large scale fires in the national park that began at the end of July. Firefighters have gradually reduced the area afflicted by the fires, which now ranges around 50 hectares. Initially, the fire afflicted 1,000 hectares of what is considered one of the most beautiful natural reserves in Czechia.
