Mero: oil supplies via Druzhba to resume within few days

The oil supplies to Czechia via the Druzhba pipeline should be resumed within a few days, the pipeline operator Mero told the Czech News Agency, confirming the halt of oil flows. According to the company, oil supply to the Litvínov refinery is fully secured from operational reserves located in Nelahozeves, central Bohemia.

Russia’s state pipeline operator Transneft on Tuesday said it had stopped shipments through the southern branch of the Druzhba oil pipeline flowing through Ukraine to Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary last week.

According to Transneft, the payment it had sent to its Ukrainian counterpart Ukrtransnafta had been refused due to complications with EU sanctions. The Ukrainian company had subsequently stopped the shipments.
