Czech Covid numbers fall week-on-week

The coronavirus epidemic in Czechia continues to slow down. Laboratories registered 15,094 cases of Covid-19 over the past seven days, compared to 16,910 in the previous week. It is the first recorded week-on-week decrease since the current wave of the virus in Czechia began in early June.

The number of people hospitalised with Covid-19 has also been falling. According to Ministry of Health data, there were 1,159 people hospitalised with Covid on Thursday, with 35 of them in serious condition. At the same time, the number of people who died of Covid-related complications has increased in the week-on-week comparison.
