12 more road deaths recorded in July than same month last year

There were 33 road deaths in Czechia in July, according to preliminary figures released by the police on Monday. Last year 45 people died on the country’s roads in the same month.

Fourteen of those who met their deaths on Czech roads in July were car drivers. The other victims included three cyclists, three pedestrians, two truck drivers and a tractor driver.

Police said the main causes of death were speeding, driving into oncoming traffic and inattentiveness.
