Four new cases of monkeypox recorded in one day
Four new cases of monkeypox were recorded in Prague on Thursday, the second highest number in one day so far. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the Czech Republic up to 20. Except for one case which was recorded in the Ústí nad Labem region, all the cases so far have been in the capital.
Monkey pox has been common in West and Central African countries for some time, but around May, the infection began to spread in Europe, the USA, and other countries.
